Caltech Hosts Second Workshop on Information and Social Economics

Organized by Assistant Professor of Economics and Mathematics Omer Tamuz, along with colleagues Ben Golub (Harvard) and Manuel Mueller-Frank (IESE), this three-day workshop featured the latest research on social and economic networks and their connection with information economics. Learning in networks, social influence, strategic interaction in networks, and peer effects were among the many topics considered. In addition to Tamuz, Caltech presenters at the conference included Laura Doval, Teddy Mekonnen, and Luciano Pomatto. Other presenters included Mohammad Akbarpour (Stanford), Mira Frick (Yale), Drew Fudenberg (MIT), Matthew Jackson (Stanford), Ilan Lobel (NYU), Evan Sadler (Columbia), Eduard Talamàs (UPenn), and Leeat Yariv (Princeton).
